November 23, 2015 | Leave a comment One of the things we enjoy doing as a homeschool group is… throwing our children holiday parties, like many of the schools do abroad. With our group being so diverse, we thought it would be fun to celebrate Thanksgiving by throwing an international party! It ended up being great! The activities included: The children dressing up as kids from around the world. My girl all dressed up in her outfit from India Her favorite part of her outfit was her “rings”…or the bracelets :) Little Rou in her Chinese Qipao Several parents gave presentations on what life was like in their home country. We read children’s stories from around the world. And the best part was eating a huge meal together which consisted of foods from countries all over the world. Our family chose to represent Italy as a part of the meal: Roasted Potatoes Italian Meatballs: a huge hit with preschoolers! Take Note Friends!!! It was so much fun! And I think all the children enjoyed learning about all the different cultures represented in their classrooms :) I appreciate so much all the teachers and friends who make our group so wonderful and so fun for the children. We are again thankful for their investment in our children’s lives.
