We were finally able to take the girls to the local snow park over the weekend! Hooray!

They had been looking forward to going for some time, and then our homeschool group decided to plan an activity for all the families to go together! The girls were thrilled!

They had the best time sledding together with family and friends.

If you’re wondering what I mean by “snow park…”

During the winter, the local parks in our city will all set up a “snow area” in a grassy section of the park where the kids can play, sled, and go tubing in the snow.  Since most families live in high-rise buildings, the kids do not have yards to play in. So to play in the snow, they need a place to go.

The snow parks are a great place for the children to get some fresh air and play outside in the winter!

The snow areas of the parks do charge an entry fee though, so it’s not somewhere that families go too often. But, it’s a fun activity to do together at least once or twice a year!

Another interesting fact about the snow parks?

The snow is artificial! Yep! Even though the climate is very cold here in the North, we don’t actually get too much snow! So the snow here is made in the parks 😀

So here’s a few pics from our day at the park! Visit us in the winter and you can join in on this fun!
